Overview
About This
Project
A 180-meter prestressed concrete bridge handling 40,000+ daily crossings. Completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule with full Seismic Zone IV compliance and precision formwork execution.
The Challenge
The bridge crossed an active drainage canal requiring year-round water flow maintenance during construction. Foundation conditions revealed unexpected soft strata requiring immediate geotechnical redesign mid-project.
Our Approach
A temporary diversion channel was engineered and installed before piling commenced. Deep bored pile foundations replaced the original design, and post-tensioning sequences were recalibrated for the revised load distribution.
The Outcome
Completed 3 weeks ahead of the contractual deadline. Zero structural incidents recorded. The bridge has since been cited as a reference project in the Department of Roads' infrastructure design guidelines.
